Epperson Mountaineering

Epperson Mountaineering recently asked me to get some lifestyle shots of their awesome bags. Their artisan crafted bags are designed for long-term strength and durability. Founded by Mark Epperson in 1973, Epperson Mountaineering began as a small shop in Montana. Today, the bags are still made in the USA with top notch components like 1000 denier Cordura, YKK zippers, mil-spec tubular webbing and exclusive Indian/Oval pattern webbing. From backpacks to totes, their bags are perfect for any kind of excursion- from urban life to mountain climbing. Inspired by climbing culture and with a spunky 90s vibe, their packs are for those of us who are drawn to that old school style.

My favorite bag is the Climb Pack. It's a smaller backpack, perfect for a day's adventure. I took the Climb Pack and Large Climb Pack with me to Big Bear. They both fit very comfortably on my back, with cushioned and breathable straps.  The Climb Pack easily fit my Deviator Hoody, a change of clothes for after a day in the snow, as well as my creature comforts (tissues, chapstick, sunscreen, sunnies etc). My 21 oz Hydro Flask fit securely in the side pockets of the Climb Pack for easy access-which those who know me understand the imperative nature of easy access to my water. I gave the packs to my friends so that I could capture them in action. They kept these lightweight packs on through snowball fights and and coneball (baseball, but with a pine cone). Their comfortable build and water resistant fabric makes for an awesome adventure pack!
